My name is Dylan Sain and I am a senior at CU. I am pursuing a computer science major with an applied math minor. I am also in the process of taking graduate courses to speed up getting a masters degree.
I’ve lived in Colorado for the majority of my life and I’ve become quite the outdoors person. I love skiing and have been doing it since I was two years old. My favorite runs are big mountain terrain and have skied all of the extreme terrain that the Epic pass can offer. I’ve also skied loveland pass and am looking forward to trying heli skiing one of these days. I’m also a huge climber, both outdoors and indoors. When the weather is nice there's nothing better than a short hike and a big climb on the rocks.
I’m also a huge nerd. I’ve become really interested in machine learning and the applications of these algorithms. We are very far from any terminator like artificial intelligence but we can do a lot of things that can improve everyday lives. I also love reading and video games. Both are amazing at being able to transport you to a world beyond your own. It's magical.
I’m taking digital art this semester because I took a similar class in high school and really loved it. Drawing on a computer was the only kind of drawing that I really enjoyed, however I stopped drawing after high school. I’m really looking forward to doing more creating this year through this class and I’m hoping it reignites my passion for creating this kind of art.
